Resources for Those Impacted by Legal Injustice in Florida

Whether you’ve just been released, are supporting someone who has, or are seeking justice after a wrongful conviction, Planned Restart is here to connect you with life-saving resources. Below are key areas where support is available. These listings will expand as our partnerships grow.

Pro Bono Legal Help

We are building a directory of pro bono attorneys and legal organizations who specialize in wrongful convictions, excessive sentencing, and civil rights violations. Until then, we can offer direct referral support. Contact us for assistance or to join our legal network.

Mental Health Support

The emotional and psychological damage caused by injustice runs deep. We’re working with licensed therapists and counselors trained in post-incarceration trauma, grief, PTSD, and family reconciliation. Reach out to be matched with a provider or peer-led group.

Emergency Housing Contacts

We are finalizing agreements with housing providers across Florida, including shelters, transitional programs, and reentry-focused living spaces. If you or someone you know needs urgent shelter, contact us directly for short-term support while we build our network.

Help Us Expand These Resources

Troy’s story began with a false arrest.
A narcotics officer with a personal vendetta turned Troy’s life upside down, costing him his job, his vehicle, his home, and nearly his unborn child. Instead of giving up, he built Planned Restart to support others walking the same devastating road.

But we can’t do this alone.

Your donations help us build Florida’s first coordinated network of services for the wrongfully accused and recently released. Every dollar funds emergency housing, legal referrals, trauma care, and outreach. Help us give someone else a real second chance.
